On Tuesday (July 15), Jeff Tweedy announced the details of his fifth solo album, Twilight Override, which is set to be released on September 26th via dBpm Records. The 30-track triple-album will be accompanied by an extensive North American and European tour starting in October. To promote the release, Tweedy shared four new tracks from the project, “One Tiny Flower,” “Out In The Dark,” “Stray Cats in Spain,” and radio single “Enough.” Twilight Override was recorded and self-produced by the Wilco frontman at his Chicago studio, The Loft. and features special guests including James Elkington, Sima Cunningham, Macie Stewart, Liam Kazar, and Tweedy’s kids Spencer and Sammy. “Here are the songs and sounds and voices and guitars and words that are an effort to let go of some of the heaviness and up the wattage on my own light,” Tweedy says of the album. The 29-date North American tour begins on October 8th in Three Oaks, Michigan, with ticket pre-sales starting Thursday (July 17), and general on-sale beginning Friday (July 18).
