On Tuesday (May 27), Grizzly Bear took to Instagram to announce their first live shows in six years. The beloved indie rock band will embark on a brief, seven-date US tour, which is set to kick off with a three-night stand in the band’s hometown of Brooklyn on October 13-16, 2025. The jaunt will also include live dates in Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco throughout November, concluding with a show in Oakland on November 19th. Tickets for the tour will be available via an artist pre-sale on May 28th and for the general public on May 30th through Grizzly Bear’s website. Despite Grizzly Bear’s extended hiatus – their last live performance took place at Just Like Heaven in 2019 – the band clarifies that it’s not a reunion as they never officially broke up. Alongside the tour announcement, Grizzly Bear will also be reissuing their four most recent albums on vinyl: 2006’s Yellow House, 2009’s Veckatimest, 2012’s Shields, and 2017’s Painted Ruins, with pre-orders ongoing.
