The worse thing about April’s pink moon is it really isn’t pink. However, on Tuesday it will be the biggest and brightest supermoon of the year.
The moon’s orbit will bring it closest to Earth at 10:35 p.m. EST Tuesday, according to AccuWeather. It will appear to be larger than it will at any other time this year, the agency reports.
Incidentally, the pink moon gets its name from phlox, a type of pink flower that blooms in the spring.
