It is hard to miss the big construction project going on at the intersection of Oakes Street SW and Ionia Avenue SW. It is expected to open in September and will include a movie complex, restaurant, apartments, retail, office space, a hotel, a parking garage and a 200-seat live music venue.
A lot of rumors have been swirling about what businesses will occupy the spaces and now we finally have some answers! Funky Buddha Yoga, Pump House Frozen Yogurt Bar, Leo’s Coney Island, Malamiah Juice Bar and Eatery and One Twenty Three Tavern will be the first tenants in the $140 million project. President of Studio C, one of the companies behind the Studio Park development JD Loeks states that “Having the right mix of local businesses at Studio Park is an important part of the experience that we are trying to create for residents and visitors.”
Needless to say it is going to be an AWESOME space downtown!
