Dan Reynolds, Imagine Dragons Frontman, Proposes an Anti-Gun Violence Festival

Dan Reynolds tweeted on Thursday, August 8, about how there should be an anti-gun violence festival.

He tweeted that “with the failure of WOODSTOCK I pose this question: What artists/speakers are willing to play for free (we get some corporate dollars to cover crew coats and travel etc) to put on a festival raising money for organizations that are fighting for new legislation regarding gun laws”. He followed this tweet with another stating that this wasn’t political, but “nonpartisan.”

A number of artists responded to his tweet and volunteered to perform including The Head and The Heart and Mt. Joy.

He again tweeted the next day, August 9, on how he has a call with “a bunch of rad people to make this happen.” He followed tweeted “this is a festival for the world to show that we have had enough and real action MUSt be taken”.
