Should Hemp & CBD Be Allowed At Fulton St. Farmers Market?

A Whitecloud man was denied the ability to sell hemp and CBD items at the Fulton Street Farmers Market. He’s now started an online petition to get the policy changed for the summer.  Sean Duffy is the owner of Rising Moon Farms in White Cloud, a Michigan based craft Industrial Hemp/CBD company. From Change.Org: This spring we attempted to join the Grand Rapids Fulton Street Farmers Market as a vendor, and were told our application would not be accepted because the board decided to not allow Hemp products.  We feel this decision is wrong, unjust and preventing the community from accessing locally grown and made Hemp products.  The decision by the board to not allow Hemp is NOT anywhere to be found in the published FSFM 2019 Rules, and our farm meets ALL the written requirements for joining the market. Our application was flat out denied because of opinion, not written policy.

Currently there are no farmer’s markets in the West Michigan area that allow the sale of these items.
